Chalk Pastel on Canson Paper
Some of my first serious steps as a professional artist began with chalk pastel during an undergraduate study abroad experience in London, England. Since then, pastel has remained a medium I return to again and again.
I am drawn to the versatility of pastel, its richness of color, its tactile quality, and the way it allows drawing and painting to meet on the same surface. Over the years, I have used pastel to create portraits, pets and wildlife, landscapes, still lifes, and figurative work.
My pastel drawings have been included in juried exhibitions, recognized through awards, and commissioned by clients for a wide range of personal and meaningful subjects. Whether the piece is intimate, expressive, or highly observational, I care about creating work that is visually strong and thoughtfully made.
If you are interested in a custom pastel drawing, I would be happy to hear from you.
