Tami Rae Weiss treasures her close friendship with her hero, Holocaust survivor Eva Schloss.
Eva Schloss has shared her story of survival with people across the world as part of her commitment to end violence and bigotry. She relives memories from Auschwitz concentration camp and the deaths of her brother and father, so that we will “never forget” the atrocities of the Holocaust. Most of all, Eva gives a message of hope, teaching by her own example that the creative spirit is stronger than fear and that we should live each day with gratitude.
Tami Rae Weiss shares some of her favorite photographs that she has taken of Eva over the years, as Tami and her family have gotten to know and love her more and more.
It is a love that is, as Tami describes it,
EVA-lasting.
